Eine tolle Nachricht für alle Fans des Nokia N900: Sygic hat soeben bekannt gegeben, dass die Applikation Sygic Mobile Maps für Maemo 5 fast fertig ist und noch dieses Jahr erscheinen wird! In den letzten Tagen gab es immer wieder Beschwerden, dass es zum Marktstart keine sprachgeführte Navigation für das N900 gibt, die Version von Ovi Maps verhält sich nämlich ähnlich wie Google Maps und bietet keine Navigation. Wir rechnen jedoch auch mit einer entsprechenden Version von Ovi Maps in den kommenden Monaten, damit dürfte die Navigation auf dem N900 gesichert sein. Noch ein kleiner Hinweis am Rande: In den kommenden Wochen wird es hier auf Smartphonearea.de einen Testbericht zu Sygic geben, seid gespannt. Sygic Mobile Maps für das N900

Sygic announces the compatibility of its Mobile Maps turn-by-turn navigation application with the new Nokia Maemo mobile phones. The application will get ready for sale from Sygic web site e-shop by the end of 2009.

Turn-by-turn voice guided navigation software Sygic Mobile Maps converts mobile phones into full-featured navigation devices. Sygic now extends its current compatibility range to support the new Nokia Maemo 5 OS devices. Further operating systems supported already are iPhone, Symbian, Android and Windows Mobile, incl. Windows Mobile 6.5.
