Bei Kinoma Play handelt es sich um eine Anwendung für Symbian und Windows Mobile, welche mehrere soziale Netzwerke verknüpft, aber auch zusätzliche Features wie Internet Radio oder einen Google Reader besitzt. Doch das ist noch lange nicht alles, außerdem gibt es einen eigenen Dateimanager, einen Musik-Player, einen Video-Player, einen Feed-Reader, einen eigenen App Store und vieles mehr. Das tolle an der Software ist auch, dass ein Ende noch nicht in Sicht ist, die Anwendung kann nämlich ganz einfach intern mit weiteren Anwendungen erweitert werden, ohne dass die komplette Anwendung erneuert werden muss. Bei den sozialen Netzwerken werden bis jetzt Picasa, flickr, Facebook und Twitter unterstützt, außerdem kann man nach Youtube Videos suchen und sich diese anschauen (leider jedoch noch nicht mit seinem eigenen Youtube-Account einloggen oder Videos speichern). Ich habe die Anwendung ein paar Tage auf meinem Nokia N86 getestet und möchte euch heute einen kleinen Einblick liefern.
Neben den zahlreichen Möglichkeiten gefällt vor allem die eigene Oberfläche mit schicken Effekten, man kann sogar mehrere Themes auswählen (im Moment stehen vier Skins zur Auswahl), die Icons auf dem Homescreen lassen sich nach belieben verschieben und so kann man Kinoma Play ganz nach seinen eigenen Vorstellung einrichten. Auf jedem Bildschirm kann man 12 Anwendungen ablegen, sollte man mehr Programme haben, dann gibt es mehrere Bildschirme wie beim iPhone, zwischen denen man einfach hin und her wechseln kann. Wer einen Favorit bei seiner Internetradio-Station hat, der kann sich dafür auch ein Shortcut ablegen und hat so zum Beispiel ein Shortcut auf der ersten Seite und noch schnelleren Zugriff auf den Sender.
Besonders gut hat mir die Integration von Musik-Diensten gefallen: Neben Audible, einem Dienst für Hörbücher, kann man sich auch mit seinem Last.fm Account einloggen und es stehen einem das riesige Internetradio-Verzeichnis von SHOUTcast und Live 365 zur Verfügung (und viele mehr). Doch das ist noch nicht alles, außerdem kann man sich auch mit seinem Account von Box.net oder iDisk anmelden und hat Zugriff auf seine Daten beim entsprechenden Dienst. Die Integration von sozialen Netzwerken ist schon sehr gut, man könnte hier und da noch ein bisschen dran arbeiten, so ist die Timeline von Facebook zum Beispiel noch nicht optimal, viele Einträge werden wegelassen und man kann nur bestimmte Statusmeldungen verfolgen. Auf jede Anwendung kann ich hier leider nicht eingehen, da ich manche nicht nutze und das einfach zu umfangreich ist.
Ein Ende ist noch nicht in Sicht, die Firma möchte weiter an Kinoma Play arbeiten und weitere Dienste integrieren oder vorhandene verbessern. Momentan ist die Anwendung für Windows Mobile und Symbian verfügbar, jedoch nur für die 3. Edition von Symbian, eine optimierte Version für die Touchoberfläche soll bald folgen. Wo ist der Haken? Eigentlich gibt es keinen, lediglich der Preis dürfte viele abschrecken, denn knapp 25 Euro sind nicht gerade wenig für eine mobile Anwendung. Kinoma Play Fazit
Für mich persönlich ist diese Anwendung optimal, ich nutze mehrere Dienste und auch wenn es für bestimmte Bereiche wie Twitter sicher bessere Programme gibt, so muss man auch bedenken, dass diese oft ebenfalls einen stolzen Preis haben. Außerdem gefällt mir die Oberfläche sehr gut, da sieht man doch auch mal wieder, was man aus Symbian rausholen kann wenn man nur will. Man sollte sich vorher informieren, welche Dienste man davon nutzen wird, für welche Dienste es eine mögliche Alternative gibt und dann am Ende einen Vergleich machen. Solltet ihr mehrere Dienste, vielleicht auch täglich nutzen, und euch der Preis nicht abschrecken, dann holt euch die Anwendung.
